Consultations, Referrals, Emergencies
Consultations
We are prepared to consult with you on a wide spectrum of pet ownership issues and concerns. Our own point of view, and, as a result, our advice, stems from our philosophy of preventive care.
Your pet is, of course, a companion. While its feelings differ from ours as humans, dogs and cats do experience pleasure, fear and pain. Your relationship with your pet is actually a part of the human animal bond. Our advice focuses on your pet’s health, including dental care, its training and its quality of life from birth to old age.
Through the years, your pet’s needs will change, and we are prepared to help you in your relationship with your companion.
Referrals
Certain veterinary medical conditions in small animals require specialized in-depth experience, chiefly because those conditions are seldom seen or require extensive equipment for proper treatment. For those cases we maintain continuing relationships with a variety of specialists.
Through those relationships we are able to diagnose and treat your pet for typical, unusual and rare conditions.
Emergencies
When your pet faces an after-hours emergency, please contact either the Tufts University/Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine or Boston Road Animal Hospital. Here are the street addresses, phone numbers and driving instructions:
